The main standard for shop floor and manufacturing are 2D CAD Drawings to read against when creating parts for products. As 3D Software has progressed it’s now quicker and more efficient to project a 3D Modelled part onto a drawing template to create Front, Side, Top and Isometric views.

Using a range of 3D CAD Software, our Engineers create designs ranging from sheet metal to plastics, once the model is created a number of services can be offered such as Rendered Images, 3D Videos, 3D Printing and Technical Drawings which is an output from the 3D data created.

Once your project has been completed we can also provide a free viewable version of your 3D CAD product using eDrawings software, which can be rotated, zoomed-in and measured.

On some Projects valuable information already exists and can be implemented to speed up the 3D Design process. Drawings may have already been created providing dimensions, materials used, thickness and geometry to illustrate parts that make up a product.

We offer our services on-site in the UK should you need to expand your team to complete a project. Imagine Draughting Services are flexible with our terms and you will find our rates are cheaper than regular agency firms, as the majority of our 3D CAD work is done in-house and we only use our own designer’s to action the work.

Alternatively we can visit site to gather information on what’s required and work remotely here at our office at a cheaper rate.

Existing Products can be Reverse Engineered in various ways, if you don’t have CAD data available but want range of services we offer then Imagine Draughting Services Ltd can assist.

One of the main benefits of being able to progress 3D CAD Designs is the possibility of a physical prototype, this can be useful to get a feel for a product or show a potential inventor.

Using a combination of 3D Printing and outsourcing off the shelf parts we can create a 1:1 scale prototype for you. Initially we will create a 3D CAD Model in Solidworks CAD software then adjust and revise directly with you, following which we are ready to progress the prototype.

Once drawings are progressed in 2D or 3D CAD format, if required in A0, A1 or A2 format we can assist with plotting and delivery to your address.

Alternatively if you have a number of drawings already created feel free to get in touch and we will quote for required quantities, colour or monochrome.

Should you require a full product file package, including Main Assembly, Sub Assembly and Parts we can print all drawings for you, along with a suitable folder.

If revisions are made to individual drawings we advise you print them internally and replace / destroy old copies.

Should you have a project that is an urgent deadline or quick turn around required we can assist with our unique Fast Track Service.

This reduces our lead time on 2D CAD and 3D CAD Projects by ensuring it’s assigned to an appropriate Designer swiftly and prioritised internally.

Our fee for this service is 15% amount of total quoted price, with some projects turned around in 1-2 days as opposed to 7 days.

For larger projects our standard lead time can be longer than a week, however the Fast Track Service still applies reducing turn around where possible. To assist further we can allocate a pair of designers or a dedicated team depending on the scale of the project.
